
Simone Pero is an issue-driven film producer and communications executive with extensive experience in corporate, nonprofit and government arenas. Realizing the growing importance for brands, artists, content, and advocacy to join forces, Simone founded For Impact Productions.
Since founding her own company, Pero has gone on to become an Emmy-nominated producer and an active leader in the media and entertainment industry. Pero is currently serving as Advisory Board Chair of New York Women in Film & Television, Board Member of Women in Film & Television International, and is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy. She was named by Cynopsis Media as a 2019 Top Woman in Media in Community Building.
Pero’s portfolio embraces visionary projects and acclaimed films including THE TALE and THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING and her current projects LILLY and Untitled WOMEN OF WALL STREET among a swath of impact campaigns. Prior to her producing work, Pero was an executive at MTV, Rainbow Media/Cablevision (now AMC Networks), Taproot Foundation, and began her career as a public policy analyst with the U.S. Federal Government.
Pero is on the Stony Brook University Killer Films’ MFA in Film faculty. She is also a frequent public speaker on a variety of social impact topics for the public, private, and nonprofit arenas.
